Before Buying a Gas Scooter Check Your Local Laws.

High gas prices are a big part of the reason, but the availability of inexpensive import scooters makes a scooter an attractive option for your main mode of transportation. Before you purchase a scooter though,To get a motorcycle license many states just have a written test, this test will usually be slanted to motorcycles make sure you study the whole book before taking the test. Some states require you to take a safety course before getting your endorsement. You also might have to have a valid drivers license first. You can check with your state department of transportation (DOT) to find out what the rules are for your state. The dealer is out of business and there's not much recourse. Make sure that your scooter meets all the requirements or you may not be able to get licensed or have to surrender your registration.

Scooters have become a popular form of transportation so if you're thinking of getting one for your daily commute check your local laws and ordinances. The information can usually be found on your states DOT website, and it's free so check it out before you decide if a gas scooter is right for you.

Also make sure your city/county also allows scooters on public roads. you should make sure it meets the legal requirements to be driven in your area.
